What does this sentence mean?

"A violation of this section shall constitute a simple misdemeanor."

Can the police officer or jailer who refused to let me see my spouse be charged? I also left a message for my lawyer and when he called back to the dispatch center, they didn't put him through to me or told him I was not there.

Thank you!

The law only requires that the officer does not interfere with the right to talk to a lawyer. Of course, it is fiction that a lawyer is by his phone at 2:00 a.m., or on the weekend during the day for that matter.

So, what attorney is awake and available at 3AM when I'm pulled over or at 5AM when the two our limit is ending? It does not seem reasonable to expect any attorney to be available before 8AM or 9AM.
